In 1971 John Kerry, wearing his Fonda-inspired long hair and hippy clothes, testified before Congress that American soldiers in Vietnam were baby killers, prone to cutting off people’s noses and ears. He didn’t happen to mention that those same soldiers would have collectively and individually given their lives to save him or any of their brothers there in country, and Congress didn’t bother to call him out for being a liar, a coward and a traitor. For some time after that and at least partially because of his testimony, I and my brothers were spit at and cursed when we returned from Vietnam. We didn’t at the time make the connection and we didn’t understand why the very nation we had sacrificed for, most of us for at least a year and some of us longer, would treat us in such a way. We also, could never have perceived that that same nation, at some point in the future, would put such a coward and traitor as John Kerry in the position of American, Secretary of State. The above image; American fighting men on their knees, we also never would have been able to foresee, but time and tide have brought us to this point and the image unfortunately, very aptly symbolizes the past eight years of leadership by Barack Obama and the likes of Hillary Clinton and John Kerry. The idea that America, the most benevolent and courageous nation in the world; the single nation that the world’s inhabitants strive to reach, has been cut down to this, is really difficult for those of us who fought to defend it, to swallow. Today, America has a choice; we will continue to sink lower and lower into the abyss of banality and depression until our enemies actually destroy what is left of us, or we will rise up to the greatness that has always characterized us. If you’ve never been put in a position where you had to sacrifice for your country, or you had to actually stand up and be counted among those who would defend the United States of America, you likely won’t understand this, and unfortunately, I could probably never convince you, but the simple fact is, the freedoms you enjoy today are not part and parcel of the entitlements you are used to. Your ability to speak out against and condemn the military and the police without fear of arrest or incarceration, (which is the most likely result of such actions in countries governed by socialism and communism) was earned for you. It was earned by one or more of those soldiers and American fighting men and women you now curse. John Kerry and Barrack Obama and Hillary Clinton are just a few of the leaders of this country who do not want you to believe that. They want you to view the American military and the American police officer, with disgust. Obama’s nod and wink to ‘black lives matter’ are subtle hints to them that police officers are deserving of their cowardly attacks on them, and that the American fighting men in our military, deserve to be on their knees. Choice is simple; elect Hillary Clinton and complete the destruction of America, or support Donald Trump and rise from the pit that eight years of Obama, Clinton and Kerry have driven us to.
